Founder story

The founder story behind Auditfyy

Auditfyy wasn't designed on a whiteboard. It grew out of the daily work of a Swiss digital agency — built by Philipp Roth, owner of KOMUNIQUE in Appenzell, for his own client reports.

Born out of agency work

There was no business plan at the start — just a recurring afternoon. Every monthly client report meant opening several tools, exporting data and assembling it by hand: Search Console here, GA4 there, crawl data from a third tool, Google Ads from a fourth. Roughly half an afternoon per client, every month, with the same copy-paste risk each time.

With a handful of clients that's annoying. With several dozen it's a structural problem: time goes into collecting numbers instead of interpreting them — which is exactly the part clients actually pay an agency for.

Why no existing tool fit

The established players — Semrush, SE Ranking, Seobility — are primarily built for large agencies with dedicated SEO teams. They're good at what they do, but they solve a different problem: maximum feature breadth for specialists who work in them daily.

In smaller setups, roughly 60% of those features stay unused in our experience — while the cost applies anyway, per seat, per project, per month. What was missing wasn't another all-in-one ecosystem, but a focused audit and reporting tool that turns real Google data and plain-language recommendations into a report you can put in front of a client without translating it first.

How it happened, step by step

From an internal helper to a publicly available SaaS — every step came from a concrete need in day-to-day work.

  1. Starting point

    Reports built by hand

Multiple tools, exports, manual assembly. Half an afternoon per client, every month.

  2. First version

Only for our own agency clients

An internal tool that merged the data sources. Every client got their own dashboard instead of a PDF attachment.

  3. Several years

    Developed further in-house

New features appeared whenever something was missing in agency work — not because a roadmap said so.

  4. Last year

    From internal tool to SaaS

Expanded along our own agency routine and direct client feedback. Today 50+ of our own client projects run on Auditfyy.

  5. Summer 2026

    Opened to the public

Released to find out whether other agencies have the same problem — and so SMBs and freelancers can test their site with the free version out of curiosity.

What that means for the product

Every one of these decisions has a reason in agency work — not in marketing. That's the core of Auditfyy.

01

White-label and full team support

Because we send reports to clients under our own name. A report that looks like the tool instead of the agency is worthless in a client meeting.

02

No hidden surcharges

MCP server, REST API and team features are included in every plan — the free plan too. The only exception is white-label, which is reserved for paid plans.

03

Live sharing links instead of emailed PDFs

"Can you send me the current status?" is the single most common client request. PDFs create version chaos where nobody knows which state is valid — and report quality is the first thing to suffer.

04

MCP integration for Claude and ChatGPT

So reports can be started straight from an AI assistant and plugged into existing processes, instead of operating yet another tool separately.

05

Pricing that pays off from the first client project

A tool that only becomes economical at twenty retainers doesn't help small agencies. The pricing is calculated against the first project, not the twentieth.

06

EU data hosting, GDPR compliant

Because as an agency we have to explain where client data lives — and we didn't want an answer that triggers a follow-up question.

Auditfyy is the tool I looked for as an agency owner and never found. Every feature exists because we were missing it in day-to-day work.

Independently developed, transparently operated

Auditfyy started at KOMUNIQUE and is now developed as an independent product. Philipp Roth remains directly responsible for concept, development and operations.

The platform is built entirely in-house. There is no third party calculating audits or reading data in the background. That means clear accountability: if something needs fixing, you talk to the developer, not a support ticket queue.

  • Data hosted in the EU, GDPR compliant
  • Fully developed in-house — no reseller, no white-label licence
  • Direct accountability through the founder
  • Transparent infrastructure with no external audit backend
